Sustainability Month Kickoff and E-store Opening at Sa Va 

In celebration of sustainability month, SA VA — Sarah Van Aken's vertically integrated, made-in-Philly design house and manufacturer — will give a 25 percent discount on any single item to customers who donate a bag of nonperishable food at time of purchase. Donations benefit the People's Emergency Center, a nonprofit with a comprehensive approach to helping homeless families. Lecture by NY Times Design Director Khoi Vinh 

Leading The New York Times design team in user experience innovation, Khoi Vinh shapes both the experience of reading the physical paper as well as navigating the Web site. In addition, he writes a blog called subtraction.com, regarding user-experience matters, design and technology. Vinh will lecture on communication design.
