But they can't be real ... right? There's a dearth of information concerning the anthropological or theological implications of why people turned to demon possession as a possible explanation for strange goings-on. But former Temple professor Kathleen Sands, PhD, the author of Demon Possession and Elizabethan England and professor of humanities at the University of Maryland and Thomas Edison State College, will tackle the supernatural subject by looking at medical causes for what was thought to be possession by beings from way down south, minus the hospitality.
