Get on board for some booty-shaking (and -plundering) as Cabaret Red Light takes over the Tall Ship Gazela for a burlesque benefit on the high seas. Calico Jack and lady pirates Anne Boony and Mary Read are joined by CRL in their plot to pillage Philadelphia and its historic treasures. Infamously known as the creator of the Jolly Roger pirate flag, Calico Jack admits, "I wanted to be an accountant, but instead I ended up raping and pillaging." Don't be fooled by Jack's tender side: Gypsy-folk group The Blazing Cherries, featuring international gypsy-jazz violinist Marina Vishnyakova, provides a soundtrack to the debauchery — expect sword fights, dancing girls and plenty of vaudeville charm. Seated in the round of the Gazela, audiences can breathe in the salty sea air, knowing their ticket proceeds will help restore the beautiful vessel.
