It's a horror show double feature at the Ritz East. In one theater, Stanley Kubrick's classic A Clockwork Orange unspools, featuring Alex (Malcolm McDowell) and his droogs committing ultra-violence in an alternate reality London — until Alex gets caught, and he has to atone for his sins, whether he wants to or not. Beethoven's Ninth will never sound the same. For those who think Clockwork's raping and pillaging is for pansies, look no further than the auditorium right next door where Tom Six's much-ballyhooed Human Centipede will make its Philly debut. Writing out the plot is enough to produce a gag reflex: An evil German doc (Dieter Laser) who specializes in the separation of conjoined twins captures two American tourists and a Japanese playboy and sews them together mouth-to-anus to form the title monster. Alex would have loved it.
