Saxophonist Steve Wilson has graced countless stages and even more record dates; much easier to enumerate would be the marquees and album covers that have borne his name. Since he emerged on the scene in the late '80s, Wilson has primarily been one of those first-call players whose time is overwhelmed by answering those calls, touring last year alone with Blue Note Records' 70th anniversary septet and Christian McBride's Inside Straight.
