A stacked roster of Philly's red-blooded young rhymers have picked their muse: Transfag. In an evening of gender-identity-fueled poetry, participants venture into what for most is untrod transsexual territory. All notions of gender standards will fly, or get flung, out the window as J. Mase III hosts a lineup of young poets, including Sam Terry, slam-poet Kavi of Philly's Brave New Voice team and H. Gary Cullens. For more than a decade, Mase III has championed matters of sexuality and equality with provocative poetics. Between the humor, wordplay and gender permutations, even the most vanilla may leave the show finding themselves a bit turned on.
