A bit of corny Americana now and then can be fun, especially this time of year. So grab a blanket and some apple pie and head over to a free concert by the Philly Pops, conducted by Peter Nero, on the lawn in front of Independence Hall. Expect the usual array of seasonal favorites from this truly excellent band. Just be sure to wear a Phillies hat so you stand out from the tourists.
