Fork Fisherman's Trip and Dinner

Chef Terence Feury of Fork (pictured) is teaming up with fisherman/purveyor Anthony McCarthy to bring you the freshest seafood in the region — and you're going to catch it. Start this all-inclusive day with breakfast at Fork:etc. before heading to Atlantic City and fishing on a chartered boat (equipment and bait included) and finally returning to Fork in the evening for a feast. The Dude Hates Cancer Fundraiser at Drinker's Tavern

"The Dude Hates Cancer" is an annualBig Lebowski-themed bowling tournament benefiting the national Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This year it'll be held Aug. 28 at North Bowl, and Drinker's Tavern is sending team "We Roll on Shabbos!" to compete. To support the cause, the bar's holding a special happy hour — one $5 donation gets you $1 High Lifes, $2 domestic drafts, $3 domestic bottles and $4 Caucasians. Second Annual Pour-a-Palooza
Sat., July 17, noon-4 p.m., $30-$35

The numbers speak for themselves: 27 breweries, each bringing two beers, plus Pour House's 20 drafts means more than 70 varieties at your disposal. Try Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout and Tröegs Nugget Nectar, plus brews from Weyerbacher, Yards and River Horse. (Since refills are unlimited, why not try them all?) University City Dining Days
Thu. July 15-Thu., July 29, $15-$30

For two weeks, enjoy a three-course meal at any of more than 25 restaurants throughout University City — prices sit at $15, $25 or $30 depending on the venue. Good Food, Good Beer and the Rest is History

Farm to City and Slow Food Philly are assembling some of the city's best eats and beers at one of the city's most historic sites. Try dishes from establishments like Le Virtu and Noble paired with beers from the likes of Dock Street and Stoudt's. Proceeds will benefit both organizations' efforts to create a more sustainable food culture in Philly.
