The Wine Critic Challenge
Sat., Aug. 28, 4-6 p.m., $55
There really is no better job than that of a booze critic. And while The Wine School can’t set you up with a cushy gig, they can certainly help start your portfolio. By way of a classic wine tasting, instructors will teach you how to sip, swirl and rate wines with the best of them. And to top it all off, the reviews you write during the class will appear in the Epikurus, an upcoming food and wine magazine due out in early 2011. The Wine School, Penn Bacchus Classroom, 2006 Fairmount Ave., 1-800-817-7351, vinology.com.
