Sometimes First Aid Kit — with their chiming acoustic guitars and blissful, worried words — sound like they're riding the tiny, pretty wave of modern folk-pop. On a raft next to Laura Marling or Slow Club, let's say. But then the young Swedish sisters let their gin and tonic voices climb the melody and you hear traces of something older and heavier. O Brother moments of time-tested songwriting, perhaps.
