You can poli-blog all you want, but if you really want to be heard, hit the street for an old-fashioned rally. Calling for an end to all of America's various combat missions, Philly Against War will stage a protest rally at City Hall before marching to Independence Mall for another. In addition to the greater anti-war sentiments, the gathering is also a cry for the government to spend more wisely, as well as to reduce race- and religion-based bigotry. In other words, show up ready to do some serious bitchin'.
Sat., Oct. 16, noon, free, City Hall, Broad and Market streets, 267-994-9448, 10-16-no-war.org.
