The way these things go, these fresh-faced purveyors of fizzy electro-pop blog-fodder could be headlining the Mann next summer (hey, it worked for Passion Pit) ... or you might never hear their names again. The zippy, infectious Tourist History (Glassnote) suggests that Northern Irish dance-rockers 2DCC are too brash and breathless to be brushed off as just another Phoenix wannabe. As for the hotly-tipped Penguin Prison — aka NYC's Chris Glover — his glossy remixes (for Kylie Minogue, Goldfrapp, and Jamiroquai, among others) currently outnumber his own released tracks by approximately three to one, but the strategy seems to be working out so far. Look alive people: We could be looking at the next Miike Snow.
