Drivin N Cryin can't catch a break. After more than a decade of mixing folky songs and hard rock, starting with 1986's Scarred But Smarter , the Atlanta band dropped off the map. Frontman Kevn Kinney's got a simple explanation: DNC started recording demos on Sept. 10, 2001, and it took a long time to find the heart to return to the studio. The wait was worth it; last year's The Great American Bubble Factory is the perfect album for and about our hard times. Not many people heard it, but the band pressed on. Then, after a show on Sept. 10, 2010, their gear was stolen. Do them a favor and spend some dough when you see them. Do yourself a favor and listen.
