Philly's motivational rockers Free Energy have had a hell of a year: Dropped a brilliant pop-punk full-length Stuck on Nothing (DFA Records), opened for Weezer, landed a song in a Flip phone commercial and launched a giddy, geeky "show" on YouTube. They're a good fit with current tourmates Cincinnati's retro dickwads Foxy Shazam: Both bands have a thing for jubilant weirdness and Stillwater moustaches.
