"I don't always get it right/ But a thousand different ways and I just might," KT Tunstall sings on "(Still a) Weirdo," from Tiger Suit (Virgin), her third studio album. It's a pretty sharp assessment, if a bit too modest. Rather than be pigeonholed as an adult-contemporary singer-songwriter, Tunstall tries her hand at funk, folk, rawk and dance, and ends up sounding like herself. No matter if she's looping her vocals and acoustic guitar or piling on the synths; she gets it right by always, always, always putting the song first.
