Before they were integrated into your phone, cameras were seen as works of art, and local enthusiast Tom Holtje has amassed a collection to prove it. From the intricately artistic to the gaudy and kitschy, cameras were sometimes fabricated by noted designers or released as promotional items for companies, while others were crafted with smaller, more personal expression in mind. Many were specifically made to not look like cameras, leading to some truly inspired techniques in making sure they still work properly. Think of it as a study in the collision of form and function.
