Bundle up with the folks at Washington Crossing Park to re-enact ol' George's iconic crossing of the Delaware. Imagining what it was like for Revolutionary troops to endure the intense cold without adequate clothing and footwear might not be the jolliest of thoughts, but it's a chance to show appreciation for their patriotism and devotion. The park offers a bounty of information on the famous fording, and its historians will happily set you straight on the real story. Here's a start: Emanuel Leutze's famous painting of the event took a lot of surprising artistic liberties. Like, a whole lot.
