If there was a ring in your fruitcake this year, you're probably itching to start preparations for the big day — just as soon as you get out of the dentist's office. For those looking for a break from the pomp and circumstance of traditional weddings, the inaugural Lovesick Wedding Expo is at the ready. The featured vendors (all local, of course) will showcase their services — with a cash bar mixing up groovy cocktails, a burlesque troupe and even information on how to throw an environmentally conscious reception. More familiar offerings, like photographers, florists and cake bakers, will abound, too, all with an eye toward progressive and innovative designs.
Sun., Jan. 9, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., $6.50-$10, World Café Live, 3025 Walnut St., 609-558-5653, lovesickexpo.com.
