Michael Solomonov vs. Jose Garces on Iron Chef America Airs Sun., Jan. 30, 10 p.m.
Whose cuisine will reign supreme when Michael Solomonov, chef/owner of Zahav, takes on Philly peer/Iron Chef Jose Garces on the Food Network's Iron Chef America ? I'm torn about who to pick in this titanic matchup (wonder what the "secret" ingredient will be?), but it'll definitely be entertaining, and I'm about 45 percent sure that "The Chairman" will ending up screaming the name of an exotic fish in a banshee voice. Stop by Percy Street Barbecue (900 South St.) for an informal viewing party on Sunday night. For more, visit foodnetwork.com/iron-chef-america.
