Sad news for NoLibs style mavens: Conspiracy Showroom, the boutique/design co-op of Rachel Breeden, Suzie Morris and  Typhaney Shanker featuring hand-crafted fashion items by local designers, has announced that they're closed, starting NOW.

CP contrib/Daily Candy gal Meredith Lindemon chronicled the whirlwind of activity around the time of their late-2006 opening.

We'll let the girls tell you about the closing themselves, as per an e-mail sent to their mailing list this morning:

Hi friends,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closing of Conspiracy Showroom, effective immediately. We'd like to thank all of our supporters over the years - friends, family, and loyal shoppers. Without you we wouldn't have lasted this long and it wouldn't have been half as fun. On the up side, we're having a HUGE sale on Saturday, February 7th, from 10-6pm. Everything in the store will be priced to move, with clothing and accessories at least 40% off and store fixtures, kitchenware, random office supplies, and even fabric up for grabs. Of course we'll have booze and snacks to make the sad day a little more festive. Get there early to get the best deals! We're sure that the future holds exciting projects for the three of us . . .

we'll keep conspiracyshowroom.com up-to-date with all of our new endeavors, so be in touch.

Thanks again, everybody.

xo,

Rachel Breeden, Suzie Morris, & Typhaney Shanker

Conspiracy was a cool spot; it's where I bought a record album with the likeness of ODB painted on it. For that and for other reasons, the place will be missed. May I call dibs on one of those flasks-carved-into-a-book?

That sucks. I’m so glad i bought 3 original works of snowman art Rachel’s mom created this year.

Darn. I’m so bummed. They were a great addition to the City — and to my closet. I wish them all the best.
