Making a Racket?
Article — 447 days ago

Ombra was my AC goto spot years ago. It's where I first had scrapple (although I didn't know what it was at the time... "What the hell is this amazingly tasty, ground-meat stuff in the center of the Frenched rack of lamb?"). Harrah's is lucky to have him back.

Gaming machines are powerful, hypnotic devices, putting the problem gambler into a trace state (the “zone”) and using hypnotic conditioning. The machines creates multiple trance loops using tactile, auditory and visual repetition (NLP – different modalities). This creates a strong hypnotic trance and leads to the disabling of cognitive functions including the disabling of critical judgment. Within the trance state the suggestible subject is subjected to at least three hypnotic suggestions - winning statements on net losses, starved reels/near miss (mapping in the USA) and archetypal symbolism. The trances comprise interlocking trance loops which are stable, unterminated and addictive.

Here's hoping one of those top 5 dishes is Shiao Lan Kung's salt-baked shrimp or squid.

I graduated from South Philadelphia High School (Southern)back in 1977 and I remember the Southeast Asian students as gentle, humble, quiet, and very studious. They never caused any trouble at all. On the other hand, if there was trouble (and there was plenty), it was typically caused by black students (male and female). I'm not profiling - just reporting it how it was! If some black person reading this can't accept it then get out there and make a positive change in how the worst of your race relates to the rest of us and the best of your own.

Wait until the new wave of casino gambling criminals have to be put in detention in some way! No wonder there is a push for 'non-jail' alternatives NOW as new casinos mushroom everywhere. The people who will inevitably steal from innocents who trust them to be reliable eg employers or those who raid trust accounts etc to feed their casino gambling habits are not 'hardened criminals' usually...but mostly previously upstanding citizens.

Surely a new way of punishment could be examined? Better still though....fix the problems that cause criminality to rise in the first place!

Ok. Time to flood the CP photostream. :)

Oh hey. Apparently putting links into things causes comments to not be posted. The picture is mine. I'm flattered. More importantly, the band is The Horrible Department. They’re playing next at The Rotunda on March 25 and 26, doing a piece they call “capital i and the royal waltzing we.” You can ask Google about it, apparently.

We are watching with close interest from Australia. We share the same casino gambling industry, where the same old answers are dished up by casino gambling businesses, to fob off increasingly disturbing questions. When will the gambling industry wake up to the fact that the 'game is [almost] up'? Too many citizens have witnessed too many marriage break ups, too many divorces, too many neglected children, too many home losses, too many employee thefts, too many people jailed, too many businesses closed and too many people who have committed suicide! The list goes on!
Time to license casino gamblers...like weekend fisherman have to be! Time to give casino gamblers a record of their spending, in the hope that more casino gambling consumers might reign their spending in...before they lose the family house!

Asher's makes a far superior chocolate dipped Peep. They take the big, fluffy ones and dip them in their delicious milk chocolate... have to check them out. You can find them at Edwards Freeman, where you should be going anyway if you love candy.

Fascinating and nicely written!

just as boring as those chocolate covered marshmallow eggs around easter? ever have the peeps flavor of ice at rita's? GROSS. tasted like (bad) icing.

Yeah it really was :) anad I thought the vid was great.

They should call it Sticky and Stones as they have the world's stickiest bar top. This is no mystery either as if you look around you won't spot a bar rag anywhere in site. Wipe your damn bar!

I did not like the pizza from Uncle Oogies but these look really good.

Killer review! Anything chickpea related makes me happy and I have to try the cashew baklava!

"you can and should do whatever you want, create whatever you want, and be whoever you want regardless of how ridiculous it may be and despite what the mainstream has to say about it. So you want to be a strange alien queen that gives birth to a utopian society in space? So be it, go right ahead. And if the norm doesn’t find you appealing, who cares? At least you have you and your individuality." - love it

great review!

He used the word "reigning", not "all time". Madonna has had three albums in 8 years, not exactly the influence of the day. If you think by saying so he has no credibility then you are living in the year 2000 at best (Music).

It's a shame you stopped reading, it's a good review.

I watched this video with friends last night. It was... interesting. No it wasn't, it was annoyingly pretentious for a shitty, boring song that is a total rip-off anyway.

Even after viewing the video and the unavoidable knowledge on the Gaga persona, listening to music is akin to a full frontal lobotomy. It's incredible lazy, rehashed pop. Her music is about as compelling listening as Two and Half Men is compelling television. Paint by numbers slush.

Another great event in your city. Makes me want to move.

I Stopped reading and scrolled back here when I read "gaga undisputed queen of pop" that's MADONNA's title. so whatever this "reviewer" has to say has no credibility or relevance.

Thanks on your marvelous posting! I actually enjoyed reading it, you might be a great author.I will make certain to bookmark your blog and will eventually come back in the foreseeable future. I want to encourage continue your great work, have a nice day!

Dope! Absolutely dope....the more you feature artist like this in our city...I think the more respect hip hop will have in this city. Rapping isn't just about talking about yourself and what all you have, but it's about allowing the audience to hear and experience something real, raw, and challenging all at the same time. This particular artist deserves this and I hope people jump on the groove and pick this album up...a definite must have!!

If you have been recently diagnosed with positive, you may be upset and confused and think your sex life is over. However, it's not the end of the world, and it's not the end of your social life. You are not alone! Check POZmingle. com.......Many cities in the US and around the world have herpes/HIV/HPV social and support groups that you can join to meet others who are in the same situation.

i now feel extra cheap having purchased 3 bottles of four roses and 2 bottles of barranc del closos. TIME TO GET MORE!

I love the Kunik cheese at GTC!! Isn't it sexy?

I scored the last George T. Stagg bourbon in the state system at the Society Hill store yesterday. Pretty tickled at the $38 price point on a $100 plus bottle.

Herbisant eh? I have a bottle of Vieux Carre, is Herbisant substantially different/better for sazeracs?

Same here, Lew. I got 2 bottles of Herbsaint and 2 bottles of Glenrothes Select Reserve SM earlier!

Hey, I despise the PLCB, but I got my butt out there and bought some cheap booze yesterday: you BET I did.
