That Steven Bernstein and Herb Alpert are the two guest trumpeters on Mocean Worker's fifth CD, Cinco de Mowo!, pretty much says it all about electro-swing one-man band Adam Dorn's aesthetic. Dorn approaches jazz history with the same sense of all's-fair playfulness as Bernstein and shares Alpert's breezy, infectious, easily digestible swing. Dorn hits town with a newly assembled sextet ready to flesh out his breakbeat jazz-funk tunes.
